5. I have received my Legal Express email, how do I open the attachment?

The attachment which you are sent is an HTM attachment, that is, it needs to be opened in a web browser (example Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator) or other program which is able to view files with that extension name. In most email clients, you should be able to double-click on the attachment icon to open it. Alternatively you may need to save the attachment to the local drive on your computer and then use your web browser to open the attachment from there. Please consult your internal computer department to lead you through this process.

6. I have tried to open Legal Express attachment but all I get is garbled text on the screen.

Usually your email client cannot associate the attachment with an application such as a web browser to open the file successfully (so it tries to open it as text or source code). You may need to save the attachment to the local drive on your computer and then use your web browser to open the attachment from there. Please consult your internal computer department to lead you through this process.

7. What is LegalExpress?

LegalExpress is a legal current awareness service.

This service is offered exclusively to customers of LexisNexis. Members enjoy the following benefits:

• A LegalExpress daily email delivered to your inbox each morning to keep you up to date quickly and easily with the most recent and important information in your selected area(s) of law; and
• Access to the LegalExpress website 24 hours a day, which includes 32 legal topics, editorially written summaries, a 30 day archive and direct links into CaseBase* and LawNow* (*CaseBase / LawNow subscription required).

To ensure you are not overwhelmed with irrelevant information, a team of legally qualified editors select only the most important information in your topic(s) of interest. This means that on some days there may be no new content for your chosen topic(s) – the LegalExpress service will let you know when this is the case.
